Terms & Conditions

  • Client Responsibilities

    * Ensure safe and clear access to the property at agreed time of service.

    * Provide accurate instructions for key access if you won’t be home. We are not liable for issues arising from incorrect access details.

    * Pets should be secured if they may pose a risk to safety or interfere with the service.

    * Notify us of any fragile areas or items that need special care. Inform us of any surfaces or items that require special cleaning products to avoid damage.

    * Ensure that electricity and running water is available during the service.

    * We expect a respectful and safe working environment. Abusive, inappropriate, or threatening behaviour will result in immediate termination of services.

  • Appointments and Cancellations

    * First time visits will require a prior free 15 minute consultation. This is so we can have a meet and greet, assess the home and client needs, and then advise on services and timings. (Services will not go ahead without initial consultation for health & safety purposes)

    * Appointments are scheduled with a minimum time to give the best service, services can require longer, this is dependant on what needs doing during an appointment.

    * Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee.

    * In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness), we will notify you as soon as possible to reschedule and we ask that our clients please do the same.

  • Health and Safety

    * For the safety of both parties, we do not move heavy furniture or handle hazardous materials.

    *Household waste will be placed into the appropriate outside bins at clients home to be collected upon usual collection day. We do not take waste with us when we leave.

    * Please inform us of any specific health concerns, allergies, or mobility issues in the home.

    * We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if the environment poses health or safety risks.

  • Payments

    *Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.

    * A 50% deposit may be required for first time clients unless otherwise agreed.

    *We accept secure payment methods as agreed upon during booking. Most payments will be requested via a secure payment link, but we can also accept cash and card payments.

    *Late payments may be subject to a late fee if not settled within 48 hours. (15% of total amount)

  • Companionship Clause

    * ‘A Cuppa and a Clean’ is not a professional care service. While we offer friendly companionship, we do not provide personal care, medical assistance, or supervision.

    * Clients remain responsible for their own well-being during and after our visits.

  • Confidentiality & Data Protection

    * We respect your privacy. Any personal information shared will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing our services.

  • Liability

    * We are fully insured for public liability. However, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing damage or wear and tear.

    * Any accidental damage caused during service must be reported within 24 hours for assessment.

  • Feedback & Complaints

    * We value your feedback to improve our service.

    * If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, please contact us within 24 hours so we can address your concerns promptly. Matters reported outside of this time-period will not be upheld.

  • Amendments to Terms

    * We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
